What's the difference between NF-e and NFS-e? I always get confused.

It's simple. NF-e is a product invoice, for a physical item you sell, like merchandise. NFS-e is a service invoice, for the work you do, like a consultation. One follows state rules. The other follows your city's rules. People who work between countries in the Americas tend to use the service invoice more, but it depends on your business.
